Dear sam,

today i heard the news,
i cried myself to sleep,
mom said she was going to tell me,
she just didn\'t want me to weep.

you were like my brother,
an angel from above,
sent from heaven to hold me,
and share your all abiding love,

they said you felt a little sick,
you just needed to rest,
they tell me not to cry,
this is for the best.

you\'ve been away for about 2 years.
so i guess i\'ll catch you up,
i\'m 13 now, i fell in love.
he treats me with respect.

he says i\'ll be ok without you,
he taught me not to cry,
he lost someone too,
so he understands about you and i.

i guess what i\'m trying to say,
is i still love you very much,
i\'ll never forget about you,
but you can no longer be my crutch.
