This Is Me

by Simon Hayes   Jun 2, 2006

Unravel these chains I sit in
Cut loose, the words in my heart
For silence shall not be golden
While our love remains apart

Place your soul upon this throne,
Empty your sorrow into my hands
Allow me to erase your fear,
With acres of mellow sands

Despite the brazen thunder storms,
One thousand broken dreams
I'm gentle, sincere and honest,
My appearance is not all it seems

This facade is just the surface
Above the complexity
Look inside this giant heart,
Soon you'll see that this is me.
