Why she only listened...

by soulcrasher   Jun 4, 2006

She hides her fears in every emotion
because no one ever asked
why she didn't talk anymore
why she only listened

The room became deep dark;
black conquered her eyes.
She had to watch the invisible
felt him, leaving his scars

She would never feel again
the shattered memories were just--
too much to forget
too sharp to trust

And if she came back
her thoughts found the thief
but she took it all from him,
felt the final relief

Everyone stared at her
bloody hands, grinning mad.
The sorrow never came
even if all the people shouted:

Why? ... He was your dad!

She hides her fears in every emotion
because no one ever asked
why she didn't talk anymore
why she only listened.
