The Joker

by Todd   Jun 5, 2006

I am the joker
I laugh and i play
I fool you all
Each and everyday

I wear a smile on my face
I keep a laugh in my throat
I choke back the tears
And hide myself

I'm not what you see
This is not me
Its hard to believe
But just listen to my screams

I am not the joker
I am not the one who laughs
I wish you could see
This isn't the real me

I'm trapped in myself
Surronded by walls
I've locked myself in
And tossed the key

I'm forever stuck
Behind this smile
Take a look at me
And thats all you'll see

I'll tell my jokes
I'll play my part
But while we're laughing
On the inside I'm dying

I am the joker
I laugh and play
My biggest joke
Is tricking you
Into thinking im ok

Wow this is awesome!! It always feels strange when you read something that relates so well to yourself, this is one of those things. And youve expressed it so well.
