Best friends aren't forever

A true friend would have told me that she lied behind my back
an true friend would have told me the needed thing i lacked
a true friend would have told me the he wasn't good enough
a true friend would have told me to stay strong and be tough
a true friend would have been there to cheer me when I'm down
a true friend would have been there to make me smile instead of frown
a true friend would have been there forever by my side
a true friend would have bee there forever down to ride
but instead this true friend hurt me more than any friend could do
she lied behind my back and played me for a fool
when push came to shove she left me hi and dry
all alone to wipe the tears from my little eyes
so i don't know who told you or who said that it was so
but best friends aren't forever i just thought you should know.
