Dreams

by Jenny   Jun 7, 2006

As I lay my tired head down for the night,
I try to imagine where we'll be going...
Are we going to laugh out loud while flying kites?
Or maybe go ice skating while it's snowing?

And I have so much to tell you about my day
We'll talk about it in a cafe by the Eiffel Tower!
And it will get to the time when I ask you to stay,
Stay with me and enjoy this April Shower!

You'll just smile and say it's time to go...
I only wish that I could actually hold you,
And tell you that I love you so.
And then you would say, Don't look so blue.

My heart always seems to be aching for you,
Dad misses you too, but never wants to say it.
I keep hoping this is a dream, that it can't be true.
But worst of all, you seem to be fading, bit by bit.

I need you so bad now mom, this just isn't fair!
Everything has just been a blur since that day...
I never told you how much I love you, and that I care.
I just want one more day to tell you all I need to say.

I should feel comfort knowing you're watching over me,
And that one day I will be able to see you again,
At least that's what I've been told by everyone I see.
But I don't! I need you; I don't want this to be the end!

I hope so bad that you can hear me, and know how I feel,
I love you, more than any words could ever say!
And I'll take care of Dad, I won't break that deal,
So, thank you, for all that you gave to me, everyday.

Oh hunnie I'm so sorry for your loss. I believe that she can definitely hear you, and knows of your love. Keep writing, it seems to help - she's reading all of your words. Keep your head up! I'm always willing to listen!
