So why are you still in their country?
Why do you wait for a terrorist attack,
When it wasn't the people from Iraq?"

^^^ Darien this is so weird..not even 10 minutes ago I was just talking about this with someone and I just read your poem...*shivers*
I don't understand to much about the war....politics have never been my thing..I know I'm 15 and I should know a little about it, but I'm always so confused.....but then again every soldier I have talked to...4 to be exact...all four of them said "we need to be over there" neither of them said why except one person just said "its just so bad"....but still...I agree with your poem.....its amazing your such a talented writer!

I so totally agree with this. i don't understand why we are over there when really the terrorists could still just attack us over here. it is also really good writing with wonderful flow. 5/5

I thought the poem read well, and had excellent rhyming.

I disagreed with parts of the message though. We're currently in Iraq because though the people are 'free', the region is highly unstable. If we left today, a Democratic Iraqi Government wouldn't last a month, it'd be overrun by violent reactionary or radical forces.

As much as I don't like war, now that we've made it unstable, we need to fix it.

First off you made some really good points which I thought was a really great idea but it seemed at times a bit like a PSA. Meaning it felt more as if you were telling instead of showing us. It did feel strong though and had some vivid but at times haunting imagery that is if the readers can connect to the picture. Rereading some parts I see now how your words do make a picture. It really was a good poem though.
