You can do it

by Silentblond   Jun 8, 2006

You can feel that rush of fire
Bringing you down
You ignore that strong desire
To flee from this bitter town
Of pain, of persecution
Of shame and of doubt
No laughter, no determination
What's that all about?

You're on that floor
Hiding with fear
He can open the door
He can make it disappear
All that hurt and torture
All the bruises all the blame
No more fighting, no more posture
You don't have to play this game!

Dare you to hang on for more than you've done?
Move a step at a time
Soon all the memories will be gone
And you'll finally be the prime
Of the land, of the rules
Of the laughter, of the smiles
No more singing the blues
You'll be in charge of the miles
