I Looked For a Miracle, That's When I Found a Lie.

by Carlee Ann   Jun 9, 2006

I looked for a miracle
And instead I found a lie
I like it when it rains
Because no one can see you cry

I didn't feel the pressure
But damn, I felt the pain
And if I had the chance
I wouldn't do it again

I don't understand
What these people see
They look, laugh, and judge
When they don't even know me

Lord, I want your love
I just want some peace
Make the fighting end,
And let the judgment cease

Really, I'm not perfect
And I don't want to be
But I might just fall apart
If one more person judges me.

Keep talking to the Lord like this Car and don't doubt that he hears you...My goodness do I hate when people judge I can relate all to well!
Laura took the words outta my mouth, your message was stated very clear and I loved this poem! I wish you the best and the next time you are judged (since we all are some time or other), remember who you are and what you know about yourself, and thats all that should matter!
    Beautifully written!

Very well writen. The flow was undisturbed with a clear message.
I alway felt like after high school poeple matued and were not judged by how they look or dress but in the real world it simply never ends. You have voiced this amazingly in your writing!

Damn... This is a deep and powerful write. Your words are ever so true. People are too quick to judge these days :(

The flow of this one was perfect, the rhymes were great and the overall poem was simply wonderful, yet saddening.
