A Smile

by Jenn   Jun 10, 2006

So loving, yet lacked
So loved, yet lacking
Oh how we percieve
A girl we don't know
But I'll take a little smile
To my heart
Make of it what I will
The slivers of dawn
Peeking through my window
Or a deep grey cloud
Amongst none of its shade
Perhaps she is a bug
A plant or even the moon
For most will not focus
Thought on any of these
Could she see something
That I don't?
What a curious thought
For a curious smile
I'd like to return the favor
But I couldn't know
What she's asking for
I'll wait and see
How many more I get
Before I tell the girl
She has no heart
Not one to know a smile
