This is what it's come to

Imprints in the sand from my broken dreams
Fully charged phone because no one ever calls
Fake smiles from my so-called friends
Broken promises that you refused to keep
Parts of my heart missing from broken ties
Unopened cards from people I have learned to hate
Scars on my back from being stabbed there
Untold stories dying to come out
Untouched box that contains forgotten things
Unfinished poem that will never end
Never trying new things because I'm afraid of what may happen
Pitch black because I don't like the light
Black hair because that represents my past, present and future
Shivering in the cold from a sudden flashback
Everlasting pain that will never go away
Hidden tears that are screaming to come out
Blaring music so no one can hear me scream
Open wounds that will never heal
Run away so I can get away
Wonder in the woods so I can hide
Walk in the rain so you don't know I'm crying
Attitude problem so I can piss you off
Sign on the door to keep you away
Pretending to be sleeping so you don't talk to me
Locked door so you can't come in
Closed eyes on account of rain
Wearing long sleeves in the summer to keep warm
Secret stash in case life gets stressful
Hidden razor blade in case of an emergency
Blood stained knife from all the anger building up inside
This is what it's come to and no one would understand

*this is pretty random i know but i was trying something new when i wrote this
