As Good As It Gets

Strong and true 'til the end,
I'm standing here with you.
Through angry frowns and lonely tears,
We'll always find a way to pull through.

I feel your presence,
far or near.
Our distance from each other doesn't matter.
The fading of our amity is what I fear.

When I look in a dictionary,
you are the perfect fit.
For a best friend: pure and loyal,
you are as good as it ever will get.

I hear you laugh.
I see you cry.
Every second of your pain,
I know I can't prevent and wish to die.

From the moment we first met,
I could tell from the start,
we'd always be side-by-side;
unbreakable companionship has found our hearts.

From here on out,
from there on in,
you have been and will always be
the best friend there ever has been.
