Leaving us

by Robert   Jun 12, 2006

Time keeps me away from you,
You keep me away from time,
These tears are creating an opaque adieu
But I can't hear the chime.

Farewell seems so distant
From all these days past,
Life has become inconsistent.
I wake up day after day surpassed
By the sun rising,
Shining through my window,
It creates a light comprising
Of an indigo glow.

These words I write flutter away,
Leaving the paper on which they lay,
Following the northern star
To find a land afar.
