Fading Away

by xLongxXxLostx   Jun 12, 2006

I hoped my memories of you-
Would fade after our Good-Bye.
But it seems they only grew-
Its become hard to not cry.

I burn away these tears-
With the anger I feel towards you.
I focus on my fears-
Instead of what youre going through.

That summer I still think of-
The one that conjoins our past.
The one that started our love-
The one that didnt last.

Two playful teens-
Trying to forget their lives.
Distracting each other\'s thoughts;
From turning to the knives.

The drug-induced fun.
Lighting cigarettes with themorning sun.
The heavy-partied nights-
Leaving behind parental fights. . .

I hope the more I draw-
That you will fade away.
And the more I write-
That I\'ll forget the days.

Because I know-
That youre now lost to me.
I was left blinded by you-
I wish that I could see.

To see your eyes again--
To feel the touch of your skin.
To hear your voice, saying Hello;
All those things that seem so long ago.

We were once perfect;
In our world, we could connect.
But now all these things have gone astray;
And we are each, fading away. . .
