Death

by Poetess Lana   Jun 12, 2006

Death, the endless sleep,
a non-breathing dream...
or is it reality?
The loss of another's soul,
the life taken, sometimes
at the hands of another...

"Grasp the throat firmly
with both hands,
squeeze and twist until
breath is no longer heard..."

Death, the never-ending
loss. A loss of a life,
possibly grating and hurting
the others, sometimes at the
hands of the person their-self...

"Take the shotgun firmly,
do not be scared, close your
eyes while thinking of the silence
that lies ahead, pull the trigger..."

Death, not always the right
answer, but sometimes, the
only path one is left to take.

Another great poem.. I loved the opening stanza and the way that you described death. It really captured my attention, and the rest of it was great as well.. The flow and rhythm was really good and held up well.. 5/5**
