It will be okay

by nikki allen   Jun 13, 2006

She stands there looking down at her mother
waiting for her to say
\"have no fear my child,
it will be okay\"

she sits there in the corner
hiding away from sight
and tomorrow shell have to explain
everything she heard last night

now shes all grown up
and away from home
she has her family
and shes on her own

she swears it will be different
than her childhood
no more yelling, or fighting
all of its gone for good

but all the years of torture
and keeping it all inside
her tempers getting shorter
and its harder for her to hide

she cant control herself
shes not that strong
little things set her off
and shes known it all along

she just cant handle her pain
so looking for a way out
she sits in the bathroom
contemplating how

she gets up the nerve to do it
she closes her eyes and bites her lip
she lets out a silent scream
with every single slit...

she stands there looking at god
waiting for him to say
\"have no fear my child...
it will be okay\"
