Has Become...A Game

School has become a game,
Where the students cannot be tamed.
Where girls and boys find their match,
And textbooks are dispatched.

School has become a game,
Where loud people seem to have all the confidence,
They think that gives them all the control,
To bully people, make fun of them and, use them as their mole.

School has become a game,
Where people classify each other by status,
And put others in groups, all just by judging us
On the way that we look.

School is a game, where it plays with feelings,
Makes you feel good or bad, happy or sad.

School is a game, where you love it,
Or a place where your lonely in it.
A place where your feelings seem unsure
A place where you’re in the middle of it,
Being pulled by two different worlds.

School is a game,
Where our differences stand out from the rest.
A place where it shows who is relaxed,
And who is stressed.

School has become a game,
A place where small voices are overruled,
And strong voices we must use.
A place where you can either say what you think,
Or drain it down the sink.
A place not said or done just in school,
But all over the world too.

School has become a game,
And this is the truth.
Everyone knows it,
In the neighborhood, or at school.
People may deny this but,
Deep inside they know this is true.

This is a school and not a place to show of who is cool,
It is a place where learning should be our tool.
And knowledge is the rule.
A place where judgments and comparison,
Should only be used to help us excel in what we do.

School has become a game
And this is a shame.
Since this is not the true meaning
Of its name.
