The Long Road To Happiness...

It's so hard,
Living in the dark..

But it's even harder,
Trying to find the light..

When you were with me,
You'd wrap me in your love..
I'd feel your warmth..
It would lift me like a dove..

But your not with me..
You're with her..
You're with my best friend..
You left me so hurt..

Now I sit here..
Alone and a mess..
Cold and wet
In my dungeon, I rest..

You left me for her..
I know it's true..
So don't tell me it wasn't..
I'm happy for you..

All I want..
Is for her to be happy..
For you to treat her right..
Then maybe my life would shed some light..

One day I hope,
I will be as happy as you..
I feel so lonely..

But I still have myself..
My friends..
And my heart..
All of these things,
They give me a good start..

I start to see the light..
When I'm with them..
They help me to believe in myself..
They're like my gem..

I have them..
