Chinese Paradise (several Haikus)

by LadyPearl   Jun 17, 2006

Gentle ponds of grace
Nurturing soft goldfishes
Reflections of mirth

Nicely bordered rocks
Placed by ancient corriders
Where emperors lived

Heavenly lakes glow
Hidden by a lush mountain
Tranquil in all ways

Lilies Sing to Earth
A true chinese paradise
Written like a dream

These are some really awesome haikus. I've always loved haikus and I think it's great that you do them so well, but then again, you do all poetry well.

you work never ceases to amaze me.

    Rave!

    "A true chinese paradise"
this is the only line where I felt like you used a superfluous word to take up a syllable. Besides that, I thought the haiku all did what they were meant to, and created a great image of tranquility and beauty

I love these haikus, they were so wonderfully written. I loved the flow and the word choice and everything. You are, in my opinion, a very talented writer with bounds of potential ^_^ I may not comment on every poem but I certainly read them! Keep smiling, keep writing,
    Kim
