Cold at Heart.

Thunder breaks though the dark music
Cold tears pool in a young girls eyes
Another night she refused to surrender
One more day she somehow survives

She hides these scars and deep engraves
Her life is controlled in depressional waves
She no longer has anything to lose
Between Life and Death; what does she choose?

She prays it will get better
A strong desire for something right
She hopes to all the heavens high
She will make it through the night

When she sees a rising sun
she understands safety again
She drifes into a slumber in light
While whispering her \\\' Amen \\\'

She stays awake during the dark hours
Shes horrifided of the night
Though she wants to surrender
She always holds on tight

She needs someone to hold her
To comfort her and tell her its alright
She needs someone she can count on
So her heart wont be full of fright

Taking a look through the years Ive lived
Maturing a great part
I only wish I had someone to comfort me
Maybe I wouldnt be so cold at heart
