Mistake Of A Century

by Poetic Tragedy08   Jun 19, 2006

The expression of love seemed small
From the first time I laid my eyes on you
I felt a power grow within me through my eyes
The amazing fire in your heart could be sensed miles away
My hands were shaking as it was all I could do

The fire in your eyes as you spoke and slowly hinted
The expression you had when you first saw me
You were as if nothing changed and you were ok
I was stunned in my spot with nowhere to move

My heart pounded as I forgot everything in my past
I could see you were someone special
But a simple mistake blew you away from me
Why didn't I speak a word...

Our time alone felt beautiful and never ending
I never wanted to let you go from first sight
But here I am going around in circles
I'm still sitting here hoping to hear from you

Let the phone ring, just once
Let me know you still know who I am
Because my heart tore when you forgot my name
As long as I live, I'll regret how I screwed up

You were one girl who wouldn't lie to me
You respected what I asked for, I loved that
God put no one else like this on earth...
I can honestly say...it was love at first sight

For the few on here who know me, I honestly didn't believe in love at first sight, but that all changed when I met this girl named Andie, but sadly enough, as I mentioned...I made a mistake, I appreciate ANY votes or comments! Thanks!!
