Looking At Him

by ღHazel_Kittenღ   Jun 19, 2006

Today is the first and the last
For the truth is coming fast
And by the end of this poem
You'll know why I'm crying for them

All my friends are better now
I'm gone and that is how
I was making them sad and lonely
Just because I had nobody to hold me

Now that I've seen them and their smiles
I hope for the it lasts a while
Because right now I'm crying hard
I know they're better without my life, so hard

If I leave them all to be
I know their future will be bright as the sea
When the sun shines down in the middle of the day
And as I run I've got nothing to say

I have one last stop before I go
There's just one thing I need to know
Is he also happier without me
That is something I must see

I walk into his place of work
I look for him though it is absurd
and there he is a smile on his face
and although my memories start to trace

...

We haven't spoke in weeks and weeks
yet he has risen cheeks
He's smiling and laughing, he's happier now
And for some reason, I'm dead somehow

Before I could talk but now it is hard
My heart has been broken, I have not a shard
It's all on that floor, where I finally knew
They're better without me, and he is too
