Puzzles

The seconds pass once again
I am upon this land of despair
The answers beneath me
Lay hidden and chained
Far from my death bed
Only one has the key
And I cannot reach them

How do I always end up like this?
Surrounded by half finished puzzles
The pieces missing that I cannot find
I cannot know, without them
I just don't understand

Once upon a time
There were days without this
An era before my puzzles were here
They were all thrown away
Never to be found

Yet then I came across
And I found one single piece
Turning my whole mind upside down
The turmoil inside me
Never will cease

She holds some of them
That girl over there
But cannot give them
She cannot betray
Yet I don't understand

I have to wait
Patience is not a gift of mine
But deep inside I know
The puzzle will be finished

It only takes time
