Opaque, abstract

Words can't be
reclaimed
yet the static
that comes forth
when lips and skin
lie
still moves me
and so we can
give false hope
and I promise
I will save you
some day later
the cotton
that dries your mouth
after swallowing
so many pills
won't lie to me
like you do
when you're sober
