Ice Heart

If you were supposed to be with me
If I thought there, you would always be
I’m sorry then, I expected too much from you
I made a mistake of that i'm sure
I trusted… when nobody else would.

I won’t believe in your words anymore
You finally succeeded in your mission
So run away while I lay on the floor
Cross mountains, go to the furthest hole
And hide behind the door, that’s locked

I don’t need to see you crying
I don’t ask for revenge
But I pray every night
Please never let him hurt me again

Keep him far away; close my eyes when he appears
Deafen my ears when his voice gets near
And protect this heart, which became ice
Every time a memory crosses my mind.

Because now coward, it’s too late to mend an ice-heart
Now don’t ask if I am afraid,because that answer is what hurts…
