Helpful Love

He says he loves me
but says it with a twist
he will only love me
if i don't cut my wrist

I'm lost and confused
how can i quit a habit so bad?
there's only one way to think straight
but the results are sad

he's been in my life for months
cuttings been in my life for years
i don't know if i can stop
stopping is one of my greatest fears

i want to quit hurting myself
and move on with my life
i love him so much
he is the reason i am not using my knife

he's been here for me
each and everyday
he's helped my life
start going a better way
