Thinking

Why can't I just stop
Just quit thinking about you
All the times we had
How it ended so fast
Please get out of my head

You're gone, gone forever
As in never coming back
I screwed up real bad
And now you don't want me
Don't love me anymore

I'm sick of these restless nights
Five hours here, six hours there
That's all the sleep I get
Staying up all night long
Just to think about you

But one thing I wonder about
Is do you EVER think about me
Since you broke up with me
Did you ever have just one
Night where you couldn't stop

But I have a strong feeling
That you never think of me
Never second think your decision
Of not wanting me back
Do you miss me AT ALL

Honestly, what's your secret
How do you go on everyday
With a smile on your face
How come I can't smile
Why do I always cry

What gets you through
All these long nights
Why can't I sleep that long
I want to stop thinking of you
And just get some sleep

    This a beautiful break-up poem, I love it. You described perfectly wanting to forget him, and wanting him not to forget you. I really liked it, it's so well written and it kept my attention.

    ^ I'd put question marks at the end of the questions. It's not really a big deal, but to me it shows that you have passion and empathy for what has happened and why you are asking those questions.

    I can certainly relate to this poem. It's one of the most horrible things ever. You did a great job in expressing it =)
