Is life so cheap?
Can we get it for free?
What's life's true value?

Crime, Hate sprayed in graffiti.
Lips that tell only lies.
Why can't we compromise?
It's not familiar, it's not normal.
Are Parents to blame, isn't it a crying shame.

Schools open...please beware.
Starting a fight, because of a stare.
Kids cursing, babies nursing and noise drowning out the silence.
Bewilderment and confusion, this is not an illusion.
Do we care enough?
What do these children have to lose?
Only their lives, if they choose.
"C'mon man, let's get some booze!"

Getting checked for weapons at the door, these are things we can't ignore.
They need an education.
There is a large defict in the Nation.
Terrorist ready to strike, on a highhway, in a building or on a Turnpike.
False safety at such a high cost.
Why are we so very lost?

Circumstances-forcing all to grow up to soon.
"Let's cut classes and leave at noon."

Hate, Ignorance, Prejudice.
Do we not understand?
Is it too late?
Did we hesitate?
What will be the final fate?

Are we too blind to see, too deaf to hear?
The Anguish, Fear, Pain.
Don't let the sacrifices be in vain.
When will we learn?
When will we RESPECT and VALUE life?
When will we learn to LOVE and not Judge?

I say NOW,
it is time...
anything less would be a crime.
