Like a vampire

by Alex   Jun 24, 2006

Vicariously I will die
Many times in my life
With each breath you take
You kill me on the inside

I will continue to lie
Day by day lost in your soul
Suffocating me with
your passive aggressive heart

I will crawl along the floor
To writhe in blood and tears
While you take in this essence
That I once held so dear

I will continue to cry
Wither away in your mind
A broken little toy, tormented
Screams of anguish fall like a sweet melody

Each sunrise brings redemption
Cold gaze never will stray too far
Frigid grasp won't stop clenching
While you grin to the rhythm of a heartbeat

So vicariously I will die
And wash within this sin
To let you live another day
Just so you can kill me again
