A Promise My Friend

by Jim Shipman   Jun 25, 2006

A promise my friend,
To the very end.
To help you through the thick and thin.

On roads less traveled.
With all the loose gravel.
Hardships unnumbered.
We'll never wonder.
With a friend at your side,
Telling you no lies.

The wisdom I have to give,
It's for you to help you as you live.
Rains from the heavens above,
Washes away the grime,
And shows you the love.

This is my promise to you my friend.
To be there for you until the very end
