Vodka Stains and Bleached Memories

by Sondos   Jun 25, 2006

Take me to your wildest party
Where and there I'll strip bare and bubble
Your blood till it boils on the salted sand
With the cellophane slappers and condom wrappers
We'll sing our riches and mow our treasures to perfection

Take me to your wildest party
Where I'll whip your skin with a sardine tin
And we'll dance like trees and lunatics
In our blaze of glory and false sanctuary
We'll write our history in scrawled calligraphy

Take me to your wildest party
Where the air bags inflate in a jellyfish like state
And we'll grow in that night alone
The drink will scatter, bleach my brain and tatter
Spices will ignite and tap rhythm to our bodies

Take me to your wildest party
Where the arrow stems and painted tens
And nines, threes and mouse poison
Chalk will cake and like a vampire to a stake
We'll slumber to the morn

And after your wildest party
My mind's eye will bleach the sky
With pumping stars and dripping tar
And laced up bras and Orion's sword
And the tin-can treasures and rolling hills
Will leave vodka stains on my eyes' window sills

    Sondos dear,

If Shobhanaji wouldn't have told me about you then I would have surely missed a great poetess. And one thing's for sure. I would have regretted it. Truly fan-ta-bulous poem. Hats off... 10/5...

Im not sure I enjoyed this as much as the first one I read and there's just something odd about the poem I didn't like... But it was a nice topic.

I liked this poem. I kinda found it a little funny. Tehe.

Your word choice in this was excellent. And, I also liked how you kept repeating "Take me to your wildest party"

Overall. It was a great poem. Keep up the great work! 5/5
