Listen To Sense

My blood is screaming
I lie in my bed and wish
That I was dreaming

'Fat' carved on my arm
Don't look in the mirror
The shame of self harm

Hate what you've become
Dead but still breathing
Cold but your blood will still run

Slice yourself to pieces
You're a crumpled letter
You can't iron out the creases

That voice is shouting in your head
'Fat pig! Ugly pig! You must starve
Even if it means starving till you're dead'

Your body is weeping scarlet tears
You look back and you wonder
How you survived for so many years

And still you struggle and hold on
You know you have the strength
Even if you don't know where it's from

You'll be okay if you fight
You'll survive like always
Just do what your head says is right.
