Rising Through the Storm

by JL   Jun 26, 2006

Unfurling in the morning
As drops of dew shine
Slowly awaking
To greet the reborn sun

Silky petals open
Shimmering in the sun
Slender stem strengthened
From last nights rain

The definition of beauty
In a delicate pose
Upon the white lattice
A brilliant yellow rose
