Confession

by JL   Nov 29, 2006

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned
It has been too long since my last confession

Please forgive me Father
I have many things to mention

My tongue should be black
From all the lies I have told

I feel as though my soul
Is in the Devil's hold

Far too long has it been
Since I did the right thing

Being silent, rude, a coward
Only evil did I bring

How many times
Have I looked the other way

No courage to speak up
Too afraid, so others have to pay

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned
I ask (but do not deserve) to be forgiven

I will try to find strength
So that I can avoid sin
