Til Death Do Us Part

by Diabolic Atrocity   Jun 27, 2006

On that glorious day, my hand you did hold
And "I love you", is what I was told
Then as you got down, down to one knee
The thing you asked, was "Will you marry me"
My heart was pounding, and then we did kiss
I am so very glad, things turned out like this
As we are now, together as one
We look back and smile, at the things we have done
My life with you, has been the best
Now hopefully the same, will be for the rest
All that I say, is so very true
Everything I feel, it's only for you
Our new life, is what we shall start
Then forever together, until death do us part

I really like the potential of this poem.. and its not a bad poem at all please don't think im saying that.. i just think with something as romantic and filled with passion as this is that much more emotion could have been put into this poem ... a lot of it was cliche lines put together.. which happens a lot in love poems they are, in my opinion, the toughest to write.. however this is a good try.. and still a pleasant read

  • I hope the guy that get your heart, knows the treasure that he holds. I know it can never me be although at times even for a short time, I wish it could be.

  • Aw, this is such a sweet and cute poem. It reminds me of the day my fiance and I got engaged. Thanks for sharing this poem. Great job! 5/5<---wish I could give it more
