Sick Of You

Sick of You

Rising of my bones
To the laying of my anger
The decades of pain
And the months of fear
Never leaving my side
Always on my back
As if I am something giving you a ride
Lay on the ground
And you lay beside me
I get in trouble
And you do nothing but hold my hand
Walk with me along in my darkness
But I never see you
I walk in the day
And your right there
Never leaving me alone
Never tired of my company
But I’m always tired of yours
You constantly remind me that I am alone
Playing the dead music in my head
Hearing it
Over and over again
My own curse…
Haunting me
My own rival
Taunting me
Against my very being
Existence
Mocking me
Teary eyed and you never see
Why do you continue to follow?
I’ll never know
But the out pour of my heart
And the clinching of my teeth
The tight fist I wrap in my hand
Conclusion?
Sick of my own shadow
