Can't Fight the Moonlight

by Wings Of Flames   Jun 28, 2006

Showered by the oceans,
Swept up to the sky,
Pounding echos through my heart,
When every sunset dies,

I wiped the sadness from my face,
And defied my chance to break,
Flames licking at my skin,
I burnt upon the stake,

Settled in forbidden lies,
Resting without the real,
Sleeping in unconciousness,
Forgotten how to feel,

I kissed their forehead,
Fell to their quaking knees,
To and fro I fled,
For each of their own pleas,

I want to help your aching souls,
Don't leave me here so dead,
I'm trying to fight every tear,
Because of what you've said,

Love is to hate is to death,
My mind only thought of you,
I would never touch or think,
Of what you've put me through,

Moonlit dancers swaying,
Sticking from the sea,
You cannot have the future,
If the past is what you flee.

The words were what really caught my attention. The images then were the next thing. Nice write. Though not really something I was really interested in it did have this pull of attention that made you realize that you had to read this. Cool job.
