Broken Soul

by Poetess Lana   Jun 28, 2006

A soul departed
from a body
An Angel of Death.
Come take the broken
one to the grave.

The grave.
Where the soul sits, wondering
how just "one to many"
killed the mood, the feelings,
the mind, the heart.

"Just one more" drink,
and all the feeling of of love
had left.
Passed out on the couch,
gone,
dead. But before she left,
Raped. In her bed.

"Just one more" turned into
one too many, and the
responsible driver killed
by the one who was
thought to be good;

She was the spiked drinker,
not knowing how much harm
it could cause,

Never have just one more,
because one too many,
and the feeling is gone.

** Written for all the people killed by drunk drivers**
