Office Girl Loves Balcony Boy

by Lisa   Jun 28, 2006

I'm in love with the man across the way
The man who sits on his tiny balcony
Smoking way too many cigarettes
And drinking bottled beer at 8am

I work in the office next door
I notice him on my way back from the kitchen
Or the copy room
He's not overly attractive
But he changes his hat
So that makes him okay by me

He seems busy though
So I dream up things about him
He's an editor
A writer
A researcher
A very inspired individual dedicated to his craft

We share moments staring at each other through the glass
I think he likes watching me pretend I'm not looking at him
But he knows I am
I am wanting to hold a sign to the window
To profess my love to him
To find out his name, his sign

Dear Balcony Boy,
Won't you come over
To say hello?
Forever Yours,
Office Girl

I really liked it, a story that can relate to everyone some way or another! And hopefully you'll find your boy someday!

Goran, that is very cool that you actually met someone you saw through a window. I never met the guy who used to sit on the balcony but I still wonder who he was to this day.
