Me, Myself and Eye

by Lisa   Aug 26, 2006

I walked to the edge of my mind
Where truth and lies have no bounds
They are one of the same
The fantasy as real as the reality itself
And peered over that great fall
Never once questioning why I travelled these miles
Or came to see what I never spoke of

It was as empty as I imagined
Turmoil laced in bedsheets
Hope being consumed
And I knew what it all meant
Every flashing symbol was as clear as the water
That now flowed down my face
I was not blind after all

I took what I had learned and walked back
Back through my imagination
Treading lightly, treading hard
I accepted myself for what I was
The confused monster, the misplaced angel
The wretched unseen face of myself
The eye of the storm
