His eyes are the windows to his soul
Even when he controls
His facial expression.
Emotions flash through,
Those emerald orbs.
Joy
The love of life he carries with him.
Happiness,
In the new life he's begun.
Wisdom,
From years of learning life's lessons
Hope,
For the bright future,
We both know he'll have.
Longing,
For me to stay by his side.
Pain,
Because he knows I can't.
Sorrow,
Because our love,
Will soon be sacrificed.
Anger,
That that's the way it has to be.
Love,
Fills those orbs as they look at me.
His voice saying goodbye,
But his eyes, his heart, saying stay.
Don't go.
And in the end I do.
I give up the life I could have had.
You know, I never could refuse him.
