Dusk till dawn

by Stephenie   Jun 29, 2006

Call this home?
I call this hell
Say its nice
Here where i dwell

Trees grow rich
Then wither away
I was once a kid
I never learned to run and play

See this smile
I tape it on
Everyday
From dusk till dawn

No one liked
This little girl
Turned away
Her hair in curls

They whispered
Behind her back
They laughed
She soon lost track

Days slurred into months
Months to years
She got her friends
They brought her tears

Lost them all
She moved away
No more friends
No where to play

She grew up fast
Getting lost in her books
Soaring to happier places
Tall grass and bubbling brooks

Deep in her mind
She knew she wasn't the same
No one understood her
Alone she played her games

Teenaged years
Picked her off her feet
Losing her mind
In the summer heat

The time then came
To move again
This house is cold
Remember when?

Her friend are gone
Her life fails
She reads her books
Of fairy tails

She's too smart
For boys at school
They laugh at her
And act so cruel

Shes all alone
Alone to stay
Alone forever
To this very day

From dusk till dawn.
