Silent Tears

by Christie   Jul 2, 2006

She sits in the darkness,
With mascara running down her face,
Crying into her pillow,
Wrapped firmly in her embrace.

Her mind wallowing in sadness,
An undescribable ache,
Tears flooding from eyes who've down this before,
Wondering why she was such a mistake.

Tomorrow night,
She'll close her bedroom door,
And cry like all the nights before,
When people do all but care,
For a girl silently crying in despair.
