Today she left me
Just took the boy and left
Never tried to work things out
Guess she didn't have time
I'm not sure what I did
Or why she fell out of love with me
Sure they say love fades in time
But I thought we were happy
Watching a new life grow
I get a call about every evening
Just to see how I'm getting along
Maybe I didn't love her enough
Or maybe its just her
But whatever it might be

But if she came running back
I doubt id let her try again
Cause this leaving and coming back
Has damn near killed me
And i think i found someone new
Sure i still love her

She was my first true love
And i guess we both faded out
