FAKE TALES

by Emma   Jul 4, 2006

Fake tales of flashing skies,
echo through the air,
One girl left to wilt away,
now no ones left to care,
shed met him by the rivrside,
but shed seen him around,
he said that she was different,
for her, his heart was bound,
he made her all these promises,
ones she believed hed keep,
he promised that hed tell no lies,
his words, they touched her deep,
all was perfect, they were forever,
but then came that summer night,
when he came, and smiled, COME AWAY WITH ME,
hed already booked the flight,
I LOVE YOU he screamed at her window,
AND THIS IS ALL OUR DREAMS!
YOU SAID YOUD NEVER LEAVE ME!
OH COME, PLEASE BABY, PLEASE?
so she followed to San Fransisco,
on fake tales of flashing skies,
FORGET ABOUT THE LOWS,
hed say, CAUSE NOW THERES ONLY HIGHS!
His promises, they burned her,
as she lay next to his word,
and she screamed away the memories,
so loud, yet no one heard,
her head hurt with the feelings,
her eyes burned from the tears,
her mind flickered back to memories,
from days filled full with fears,
the day shed found the razorblade,
the day shed found the pills,
the day theyd gone to that summer fair,
that was held on top of the hills,
hed promised her hed stop right then,
he was over it, #its just a pill#
and shed believed him, like a fool,
her accusations had stopped still,
she cried, a tear for each memory,
and a cut for all his pain,
now nothings left but memories,
just memories and the rain,
fake tales of flashing skies,
echoed through the air,
this girl was left to wilt away,
now he was no longer there.

In loving memory of John Whittle, I promise Ill never forget you x
