Stars

by Emma   Jul 6, 2006

Some may say theyre balls of gas,
Other balls of magic,
Most people say theyre mesmerising,
Or to put it plain, fantastic,
But me, I say they make me safe,
Because theyre always there,
Burning down and shining brightly,
A white or yellow glare,
And in day when sun takes over,
And all you see is blue and white,
Theyll still be back to claim their space,
In the black and deadly night,
And once again, theyll dance about,
And amaze us with their grace,
You cant but help to look in awe,
As they burn in outer-space,
And whos to say they wont disappear?
And leave us with nothing high?
So for now Ill always stop and stare,
At the stars that own the sky
