Choreographing

Choreograph this life of mine
Mixing the colors of pain
The crimson glints like a ruby stone
The sapphire pours out like rain

The graceful dance of the raging lion
Crushes the bow of the swan
The cries of the heroes keep fading out
And the stars are drowned out by dawn

The melody of the pearl white keys
Replaced by the beat of the drum
The feast set out upon linen cloth
Mingles down to a crumb

The towering trees cast a darkened path
Down to the once bright desire
But now the wind steals the air we breathe
And the ash of a long ago fire

The scene plays out in my darkened mind
Two lovers dressed in their roles
They dance and scream and rage on and on
The one thing thatâ??s lost is their souls

With one grateful shout, the lion wins
And the crimson and sapphire blend
The purple blood spurts from odd angles
Too vivid and too deep to mend

The sun has risen, the drum has played
The trees only grow one inch more
And as the show ends, the chaos starts
My heart left too broken to soar
