Hard to let go

It kills me on the inside but I tell everyone it's okay
I act like nothing's happened, when you turn the other way.
I knew something like this, could never last forever.
You kissed my lips for the last time, with a kiss so bitter.
I love the way you laughed, and now can you see,
I know this would be hurting you, but it's killing me.
As hard as I try, to convince myself, I don't love you so,
It just gets so much harder, to let you go...
