No Happily Ever After

by Jamie Lee   Jul 5, 2006

Once upon a time
Is a big fat lie
Life isn't a fairy tail
No matter how hard you try

Though I wish it would go my way
It never ever does
Life is worthless
But you never know the cause

I find that life is quite pointless
What do we live for anyway
A moment of bliss engulfed
In the pain of everyday

Pain is the word
That describes what I feel
People leave and turn there backs
What is their deal

Sleeping Beauty isn't real
Cinderella is a fake
No one wears the crown
There is no enchanted lake

People don't really live that way
All life is about is being alone
Fend for yourself
Friendship is rarely known

It's a race to the end
The end of it all
So why are we running
When we're destined to fall

They say time is all we have
All we have to do is wait
For the bitter end to come
And we can meet our true fate

Snow White doesn't get the prince
There is no storybook ending
The glass slipper never fits
There's no point in pretending

I am bound to try and try again
Only to be met with laughter
So for me the story ends here with no
Happily ever after
