Weakening Lullaby

by Jacklyn   Jul 7, 2006

Quietly he sat
waiting for his peace
Inside of him a war
weakening his hopes

Gently he holds her
fearing their last goodbye
for when he leaves for good
departing from this world

Still softly she sings
comforting his raging pains
As he closes his eyes
to her sweet lullaby
